Ann Clifton is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics & Statistics and an affiliate of the Integrated STEM Education Research Center at Louisiana Tech University.
Her research interests are in structural graph theory and mathematics education. In graph theory, she studies vertex partitioning, coloring, and reconstruction problems, with a particular interest in applications and algorithmic complexity. In mathematics education, her work focuses on alternative grading practices, fostering cross-disciplinary connections in student learning, and building a sense of belonging and community through informal learning environments.
James Wanliss is Professor of General Engineering at Anderson University. He has published many peer-reviewed research articles, has held the NSF CAREER award, and does research in complex and turbulent nonlinear dynamical systems under grants from NASA and NSF
Tom Zajdel is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where he investigates what motivates students to engage with electronics and engineering. His research applies expectancy-value theory and social cognitive frameworks to understand how diverse learners, particularly non-engineering majors, develop technological curiosity and connect engineering concepts to their own fields.
Yawen Li is Associate Professor and Chair of Biomedical Engineering at Lawrence Technological University. Her research is in biomaterials, tissue engineering, and biomedical microdevices. She is passionate about involving students, especially undergraduates, in collaborative interdisciplinary research to enhance their learning.
Suman Saha is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on making computer science education more interactive, adaptive, and personalized through the use of artificial intelligence. He is also interested in developing innovative approaches to improve the trustworthiness and reliability of large language models by reducing hallucinations.
