Putting the ‘E’ in STEM by making applied science, technology, and math come alive through the [NAME] digital library. [Pre-College Resource/ Curriculum Exchange/ Resource Exchange]

The [NAME] digital library is a free, NSF-funded, and standards-aligned online collection of K–12 engineering curriculum. It provides over 2000 hands-on activities, lessons, and maker challenges designed to integrate engineering into science, math, and technology classrooms. The library's core mission is to democratize STEM education by offering quality, peer-reviewed resources that are classroom-tested, easy to implement, and use low-cost materials. It serves millions of educators worldwide, helping them build confidence and foster engineering design thinking in all students.

In this curriculum exchange, we will highlight one activity from the [NAME] collection, designed for a middle school audience. Using only the materials provided, participants will be given 5 minutes to create a simple device that helps individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) securely hold a pencil. After completion, we will invite participants to view the entire activity from the collection and discuss with the [NAME] team about how it may be adapted for different age groups and settings.

Finally, participants will be given a toolkit which explains how to use the [NAME] digital library in classrooms and outreach activities. Information about other [NAME] opportunities including authoring content, becoming a peer-reviewer, and attending professional development will be provided.
