Creating a Foundational STEM + Sustainability Curriculum for High Schools in Chicago (Resource Exchange)

Presented at Pre-College Engineering Education Division (PCEE) Technical Session 12: Resource Exchange

A team of faculty and students from (university name) are working together to create a hands-on sustainability + STEM curriculum. This curriculum is part of (program name), a program funded by NSF to distribute as an after-school program involving four Chicago high schools. Topics in sustainability will be introduced qualitatively and examined by students using technical skills in assigned Weekly Activities. By creating (program name), we hope to create a pathway for students to pursue interests and gain skills in automation, robotics, and green energy which they may take with them and possibly expand on in post-secondary education.
